We bought Claybrooke Stables in September 2006. It is just on the Warwickshire and Leicestershire Border. It used to be a small Riding School, which we ran for 4 years until the insurances, licences etc just got way too expensive so we decided that the best thing to do was close the Riding School. We now just run a livery yard to help tick things along. Mainly now we look after old, sick and injured horses.

I have owned dogs all of my life, German Shepherds for 40 plus years but now we have a new addition to the family, a little Jack Russell Terrier, OMG nuts. We have also recently got another GSD, she is gorgeous.

I have always had a passion for dogs and horses and they have become my world along with my beautiful Daughter and my Partner. I just love helping them in whatever way I can. I love watching them and working out their particular problems, then working with them to help them to overcome their issues.

Over the last 4 years since we have been at Claybrooke Stables we have acquired numerous horses with all sorts of problems. As you can imagine they are not cheap to keep, especially when they are old and require special diets or when they have medical conditions. We are self funding and an unregistered charity, as the Charities commission need us to be turning over £5,000 a year before they will let us register, so as yet this is not possible. All donations are used for the elderly, sick or injured horses. We do not believe that just because horses are old or sick they should be cast aside like an old pair of shoes. They are living, breathing creatures with feelings and they have so much to give, we wont give up on them.
